Colorado Gymnastics Institute is a 28,000-square-foot gym in Aurora, one of the largest in Colorado, that has operated in the Denver-Aurora area for more than 40 years and runs recreational and competitive gymnastics classes for ages three and up. The gym is open Monday-Friday 9:00am-9:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-3:00pm and Sunday 10:00am-2:00pm. Powered by GoogleCGI is great! I appreciate the coaches and the front office staff, CGI has such a kind and welcoming environment! Coaches care about the kids and motivate them to be better everyday! Kids get lots of exercise and are always happy to come to class!!!
CGI is amazing as a teaching environment. My kiddos love it here, I feel like they have great opportunities for them, the competitions, and activities they have are amazing. They know how to make it fun. However I feel like they need to work on who they “hire” to teach students. I have a 3 year old, and she is always teached by younger teenagers who have zero patience with toddlers. You can see it in their face that these “teenage teachers” are annoyed. Also there was a time that my little one was very excited for class and the teacher just “ yanked her” arm, and pulled her to another section. And of course as the mother of the students, that infuriated me. There were also two different situation that my toddler was being “bothered” to say the least by another toddler in the class, and the whole time I was staring at them. The other toddler student kept, touching, pushing and even hitting my kid, NOT ONCE did the teacher do anything about it, nor pulled the other kid to the side or even went to speak to the mother about it. My toddler came to me crying, running across the room to snitch on me. I did calmed my kid and told her it was ok to finish class strong. My kid went back and continued, well I kept paying attention and the same situation happened, I ended up speaking up to the mother of the other toddler and told her that she might just need to put some order to her kid sense she is the mother, her answer was…”the teachers can handle it”. And that infuriated me. Because as a mother if I see my kid bullying another individual I pull her out immediately. I did bring it up to the main office and they did spoke to the mother about. However I feel like it didn’t have to wait until class was over. To this day the same kid has been bothering my kid and other individuals (other mother have spoke to about the same kid, and the same situation). With that being said, there is a lot of work that needs to be done, I believe that they need to pay more attention to their students, and don’t allow bullying in class.
Colorado Gymnastics Institute has been such an incredible part of our family’s life for over 30 years, and I truly cannot say enough amazing things about this gym. Whether your child is just starting out in gymnastics or pursuing the sport at a highly competitive level, CGI provides the perfect environment for every athlete to grow, thrive, and succeed. What makes CGI so special is the people. The owners genuinely care about every child and family who walks through their doors, and the coaches are knowledgeable, supportive, dedicated, and passionate about helping each athlete reach their full potential — not just as gymnasts, but as confident and hardworking individuals. The facility itself is wonderful, clean, well-equipped, and creates such a positive atmosphere for athletes of all ages and levels. Having grown up as part of the CGI family myself, it means everything to now trust them with my own daughter’s competitive gymnastics journey. Watching her grow and succeed under their guidance has only reinforced what I’ve known for decades — CGI is truly something special. We are so grateful to be part of this amazing gym family and would recommend Colorado Gymnastics Institute to anyone looking for a supportive, professional, and truly exceptional gymnastics program!
Colorado Gymnastics Institute has been such a meaningful part of my life. I was a gymnast here for over 5 years, and now I’ve had the opportunity to come back and coach, which makes it even more special. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and truly care about each athlete’s growth, both in gymnastics and as individuals. The environment is positive, encouraging, and feels like home. CGI isn’t just a gym—it’s a family, and I’m so grateful to be part of it both as a former athlete and now as a coach. I highly recommend Colorado Gymnastics Institute to anyone looking for a supportive, high-quality gymnastics program.
Colorado Gymnastics Institute has truly been a home away from home for my daughter. As a parent, there’s nothing better than knowing your child is walking into a place where they feel safe, encouraged, supported, and genuinely cared about — and that’s exactly what CGI has been for us. What I appreciate most is the way they work with families with understanding and grace. Life happens, schedules change, and they’ve always handled things with professionalism and compassion. That kind of flexibility and humanity is rare these days. My daughter has grown so much in confidence and character during her time there, and I honestly can’t imagine a better place for her to be. We’re so grateful for everything CGI has given our family.
