Hockey is a HUGE part of our family. Our son has played a mixture of house/rep/AA and AAA spring hockey in the States as well as in Canada over the past 6 years. After having a rough go in another local association we decided to make the move to play for the 14U AA team at CDA Hockey Academy. It was the BEST move we have ever made. This was by far the best winter season of hockey our son has every played. The coaches were and remain to be PHENOMENAL. They truly respect each and every kid and care about helping the kids develop into better players. Last season our son was not just a member of the team, he was a member of a family and so were we. Sadly we were unable to finish our season this year due to social isolation and we missed our anticipated trip to Michigan for Nationals, but we are looking forward to next season and waiting for camps to start up this summer.

CDA hockey academy has great coaching, and an amazing facility. This place was a breath of fresh air coming from another hockey association. I have seen a huge improvement in my sons game since the start of the season. Looking forward to the end of social distancing so we can get back on the ice. Summer camps are right around the corned.

This was the first year that our son Jack played for the Coeur dAlene Hockey Academy. We have always played house hockey and even though we enjoyed it and miss our friends we were always hoping to play more high caliber teams. We took a chance with the Academy and I have to say it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Not only did it deliver high quality games but it made our son a better player. The Academy not only teaches high quality hockey but teaches the kids how to interact with other people and how to be respectable young adults. The Academy also provides a great workout facility and classroom. They really care about your child's scholastic . The coaching staff really are top notch and bring out the best in your child. We are thankful for the opportunity to have played for the Academy and would do it again in a heartbeat.

My niece was given the opportunity to play for the Academy's Girl team, which she flourished from. She had a positive and educational experience, which has given her the confidence boost she needed. She learned not only hockey skills but what a true team and comradery really means. It has been a great experience and provided wonderful life skills for her.

Be aware of shady contracts that don’t protect you, as the consumer, of what is supposed to be an Elite Hockey Development Program. It only protects the Academy to take your money regardless of the outcome and of what they promise to provide you and your child. They don’t deliver what they are selling you for a high price and have disorganized and hostile management. In addition, they will do any and everything to cover themselves in bad situations and will say anything to make themselves look good with a lot of lies. We took a leap of faith (after many years of knowing the other bad management ran a shady business for the owner). But then we found out, when it was too late, that the old management was replaced with people just as bad. Beware.
