They hosted "tryouts" this year for U13 girls, but sent an email out to already registered parents (a day or two before tryouts) of the girls trying out that stated that they already had most of their team contracted and spots for tryouts were limited. They stated they wanted to keep most of their girls from last year due to them making nationals and they wanted to repeat that result this year. At tryouts there were almost 80 girls and at the end they chose around 2. Keeping the team the same as last year is fine, however, they should have put out a notice on their website about just how limited spots were on the U13 team before parents were able to register their girls for tryouts. It cost $30 per girl ($20 registration fee plus $10 membership fee).

This company hosted a tournament at T3 Performance centers. After reviewing the guidelines set for by CVC, they specified: no outside food or drinks and no chairs. We were at the facility for 8 1/2 hours. The extremely limited concession items available were well over priced as well as $45 for a simple sweatshirt. A lot the families that travel for these events are on a limited income and that is very unfair to charge $10 per person to get in and not allow them to provide their own snacks etc. Also there were no chairs allowed and because there were so many teams booked there weren’t any available seats for families to sit and watch their children play. Would definitely reconsider ever entering in this volleyball competition again.

CVC is the best! from the facility to the coaches. We have been with them for years and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. They are always doing things to help improve their players which is amazing.

Yesterday was May 5, 2024 we were at a volleyball tournament in Elyria Ohio. My daughter was refereeing the last game of the entire tournament. Her and her teammates were exhausted. We had been there since seven in the morning. During the final game coach, Matt Darnell was behaving in a condescending and demeaning manner towards the 15-year-old girls who are working at the referee table. When I heard about this, I went and stood behind the referees table. But Coach had nothing to say then I waited a while. And then the moment I left, he began again, his condescending and demeaning treatment of 15-year-old girls. What a coward. Coach, you say on your bio you have three daughters. I hope you don’t speak to the way you were speaking to my daughter. It was simply unacceptable. Too any parents out there thinking of letting Coach Matt Darnell be the coach of their daughters. I caution you against. if this is how he speaks to 15-year-old girls who aren’t even on his team. You could imagine what he does to the ones that are Steer clear of this place or at least the coach.
