City Park Players, a long-running Alexandria community theatre, runs a two-week summer theatre camp for kids ages 6 to 17. Campers play acting and improv games, learn musical theater, and rehearse toward a final performance. The half-day program runs weekday afternoons (about 1:30-4:30 p.m.), building confidence and stage skills.

Most of the plays that I have enjoyed here begin at 7:30 and you aren't leaving until close to 10 P.M. It would be great if they sold closed bottle sodas or tea. I am not trusting of open liters of sodas that are poured into cups. Once some soda was poured for me and it was flat--the attendant opened another bottle. Just saying...closed and sealed products are the best way to go.
