★TomAs a member of the GCCC for two years it is time to speak out. I brought to the attention of management a safety hazard in the pool area where a number of mature males sit on the steps where there is a railing to enter the whirlpool for adults blocking entrance. The monitor at the front desk appreciated my input. Having left my phone number no one called for my input over the past seversl days. Today I spoke to the lead lifeguard, Alejandro, who said this is NOT a problem. Afterwhich,while on the treadmill overlooking the whirlpool, I observed a mature male layed down on the steps into the whirlpool. An older woman attempted entry and the man never moved. I thought she would fall as she could not reach the rail. The lifeguard should be written up at the very least for not protecting the public and doing his job. Shame on him and management which is noticeably absent!
