The art and piano teacher are great! However, the front desk is disorganized. For example, I specifically called and said I’ll be there after work to sign up for the piano class. The front desk said they’ll be there until 8pm. I drove all the way from Miami and arrived at 6pm. The front desk decided to close early that day. In another instance, the center was closed for teacher planning. I arrived at the center and was told by the front desk that they forgot to send an email but it was on the invoice that was emailed a month ago. Another inconvenience is that they only accept cash and check payment instead of credit card. All in all, you get what you paid for. The classes are inexpensive but the front desk staff needs to be trained.

The Pembroke Pines Art and Cultural Center is a newly opened facility run by the City of Pembroke Pines' Recreation and Cultural Arts Department. This facility combines the old Fletcher Art Center on Johnson Street and the River of Grass After School Art Program on Sheridan Street into one larger, central location. The Pines Art Center hosts after-school classes for Music, Art, and Drama and will also offer summer camps for children. It is open 6 days a week and is closed for all Federal Holidays.
