Powered by GoogleNOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. I sent an email weeks in advance specifically asking about wheelchair accommodations and was assured that the property was accessible. I paid deposits on two weekend months ago, then drove 3 hours to get here with a friend who had physical limitations. Her wheelchair did not fit through the door to her room, and getting her to the room itself had already been an adventure. She was in extreme pain from our commute, but still could not stretch out in our room as anticipated or even rest a while before we turned around. Management agreed to refund both deposits but never did so and ignored follow up contact. I feel that if something this serious had been an honest mistake, it would not have been ignored. Predatory.
With all the nature such as forests, fields, and even a small beach; the friendly people; and the fun events going on there; Circle Pines summer camp is overall a great place. Many of the buildings there have been built from the ground up and are very well constructed. Even the signs for the numerous trails that weave through the surrounding forest have been painted colorfully or burned into wooden planks to provide guidance as one explores this beautiful area. It is always such a joy to see the activities going on at this camp, from thought-provoking discussions to construction projects to even the cooperative way that every camper participates in the chores necessary to keep things running smoothly.
Circle Pines Center's summer camp is amazing. A loving community for your child (or yourself if you would like to work here/there) to gain new skills such as responsibility and communication.
Sasha and team exceeded our expecations! We had a daughter's wedding here and they supported our efforts to make it memorable. Yes, its a campground, but the farmhouse, lodge and pavilion were well taken care of. You wouldnt expect a great kitchen setup either but they have it! Love that they recycle and their values match ours.
I go with my family almost annually and the atmosphere and staff are amazing! Beautiful, rustic environment with a lake and goats! Lots of living options like cabins for a more rustic feel, or swallows for more amenities. Staff are so friendly and loving! Can't wait to go back.
