Powered by GoogleWe took our church group to Christmount to do some Hurricane Helene relief work. Christmount itself suffered significant damage from the storm, but Rob Morris and the staff have continued normal operations (while still recovering) with tremendous resolve, perseverance and endurance. The dining, hospitality and facilities are amazing, and the scenery is breathtaking. If you are in the Black Mountain or the western North Carolina area, do yourself a favor and book a stay in one of their guest houses, and take advantage of one of their hikes. You will love it!
Our church's Marriage Ministry just got back from our annual conference, which was held at Christmount this year. Facilities were clean, nice, and rustic (which I like), and the staff we encountered (Mike, especially) were friendly and accommodating, even taking our group picture for us. Highly recommended. Oh, and the big upstairs room in the Guest House (with the big fireplace) has excellent acoustics, should your group choose to praise the Lord in song in there like ours did.
I'm actually a bit surprised at the facility. Seems like a mountain motel when you arrive and rooms are consistent with that feel but great facilities for the music retreat. Patio was wonderful for casual reading too. Don't get your hopes up for the fallen down disc golf baskets though. Ingles and some fast food options close by. Blue Ridge Biscuit is dank and 5 mins. and they hair gluten free biscuits. Same center has doughnuts and gluten free options. Word.
I went to Black Mountain to a gathering of a group I am a member of and the gathering was held at Christmount. I stayed on the beautiful Christmount premises for the weekend. The staff are some of the nicest people you will meet. The staff cooked 3 daily meals for our group. Some meals had some of their own vegetables grown on the grounds. We really enjoyed our stay and were able to do some hiking on the trails and walking around on their beautiful grounds.
We had our 2021 family reunion at Christmount Christian Assembly this year. It was wonderful! It was a great place for our family, as we really enjoy hiking and outdoor activities. There is so much hiking in the surrounding area, as well as on the Christmount property itself. The accommodations were just what our family needed, and we had a nice large meeting room where everyone in the family could gather, hang out, play games, talk, etc. We enjoyed swimming, disc golf, the fire pit, and the playground, and kids loved playing in the brook. Thanks to Lisa and Ryan for helping us through the whole process of booking and for making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We enjoyed our meals together in the dining room too (thanks to Samantha and the entire dining staff), and they were accommodating with special dietary needs. We plan to return!
