Chincoteague Bay Field Station is a nonprofit environmental learning center at 34001 Mill Dam Road on Virginia's Eastern Shore, founded in 1968 as the Marine Science Consortium. It runs both day camps and overnight camps for youth: day camps follow a different coastal theme each day, taking campers across ecosystems for games, crafts, and field study, while overnight camps use a build-your-own-adventure format in which campers pick from marine science activities to fill their week. Activities include kayaking, crabbing, dissections, tie-dye, and campfires. The station offers a Conservation Camp Scholarship funded through the Eastern Shore Anglers Club and donors, and also runs family camps, homeschool programs, and Scout programs.

First rate educational institution offering essential experiences for K-12 and college. 4 sessions of 3-week summer college courses, week-long day and overnight for grade school kids and adults. Many families use the day camp while vacationing on Chincoteague Island. They take trips daily to sites all over the Delmarva coastal area. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Great ecology programs. So much to see and for the kids to learn and experience. So many hands on activities. You will get wet and muddy and love every minute of it.

My kids adore the summer programs here.

Excellent field station in a perfect location for marine ecology studies. Staff is excellent, sleeping quarters are comfortable, food is acceptable camp food. The classroom and lab facilities are very nice and are perfect for a class, research, or an engaging camp.
