A semester at Children's Music Academy is the best gift I have ever given to my grandson. He is learning musical foundations in an age appropriate, fun format via catchy songs and group activities using different instruments. There are individual keyboard stations for students to practice what they've learned. Melissa is a very patient and welcoming teacher. I was allowed to survey the class before my grandson started and have been to some classes with my grandson. The opportunity to build a better relationship with your child through this activity is a bonus. Grandparents, this is the best gift to give!

We love Children's Music Academy! My son (age 5.5!) has been taking piano lessons here for a little over a year, and the progress he's made has been so impressive and fun to watch. The classes are designed for kids to have a parent or caretaker attend class with them, which makes it very easy for me to know how he's doing in class and how I can help him with practice at home. I've also really enjoyed getting to know his classmates and their parents in our little "cohort." I think what sets this program apart from traditional piano lessons is the way it actively engages young children's busy minds and bodies. The kids are up, down, moving around, singing, working on ear training, playing instruments, writing, playing games, and returning to their individual keyboards to play piano throughout the hour-long classes. It's so much fun and very effective! The owner and teacher, Melissa, is patient, kind, and encouraging. It is evident that she wants learning music to be enjoyable for kids instead of a chore, and she magically balances that with helping them make consistent progress. She offers free demo classes a few times a year which is a great option if you're trying to decide if this is the right fit for your child. Those dates are usually posted on instagram, so keep an eye out there if you're interested.
