Children First Learning Center's Covington location runs the summer arm of its Youth Program, serving children from kindergarten through 6th grade across two buildings on Covington Drive in Waterloo. The summer schedule is built on weekly themes with a weekly field trip, a weekly splash day at the center, guest speakers, an end-of-summer project and a set curriculum. The program rests on three stated pillars - respect, responsibility and kindness - and uses student-led conflict resolution and restitution practices. Enrollment is arranged by tour and registration through the center; daily summer hours are not stated.

Great staff and teachers for both my children. Reasonably priced as well. Highly recommended!

We’ve had great success with both of our boys at Children’s First! The teachers are wonderful!

We have been using Children's First for YEARS!! Our children have thrived and had great experiences with their teachers! They are all encouraging and extremely helpful. They will care for your kids as if they were their own! Your kids are in great care when they are with Children First!

Started my kids here in 2013 and have many fond memories. Didn’t start here for the first five years with any aid. Paid sometimes $10,000 a year and sent my daughters year round. Referred my co-workers to buy puppies from owner as well, made her a lot of money only to be unfriended because I “liked” a Facebook post. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you.

We have been at Children First Covington since we moved to Waterloo. They have a great program that helps to prepare kids for school and beyond. They are also very patient and understanding with all kids. Including kids that need extra help, like our daughter, who has special needs. They want to learn and listen.... It is a matter of communication, learning and working together.
