The Chattanooga Audubon Society runs nature day camps for children ages 5–12 at its Audubon Acres / Elise Chapin Wildlife Sanctuary, a 130-acre preserve along South Chickamauga Creek. Sessions run weekdays 9:00am–3:00pm in June and July, with hands-on outdoor and environmental activities led by this longtime nonprofit.

Powered by GoogleBeautiful nature area to explore. The trails are marked and in fairl good shape. A few inclines but basically a stroll in the woods and along the river.
We had a great visit to the Audubon last weekend! We found beautiful wildflowers, butterflies, mushrooms, and a wild turkey! We will be back!
We went for Pioneer Days. Very educational and fun for the kids!! They also host a lot of activities throughout the year and have trails and a creek. Artifacts, bird egg display, and historic cabin.
The bird egg museum was nice. The employees were very friendly and helpful. This was a peaceful place to visit. The trails were not as pretty as I expected. There was a stream that was peaceful. Mosquitoes were still pretty bad in October. We didn't see any birds.
I love hiking the trails here! There is an abundance of nature, and trails that split off and go in many directions! This is a place for everyone of any age to come and enjoy!
