Powered by GooglePretty well run leauge for what it is. Paul could work on ref quality though as it's the main issue here. Ive seen too many poor calls and officiating here compared to other leauges. Normally in a good league in any sport you get about 80% good calls 20% poor calls. I would say this particlar soccer league's refs get closer to 20% good calls and 80% less than calls. The really only issue I have is that the refs are generally less than average because they are older and the out of shape. They dont seem like they are have played soccer or understand the game flow well. Majority of them tend to stand and walk(literally a few of them never jog) and be in poor positions to call games correctly. It's more common here than elsewhere and it's takes away from the overall quality of the program. The truth is they are get mostly the washout refs anyway that washed out of the competitive league like SASA because they were poor at officiating so they come here so they can still make money reffing but the idea is that when a league identifies bad officials they stop asking them to come back. When Paul hears off a poor ref he should have an after action report or review of the game and investigate what went wrong and if a trend is determined then the leauge should stop using that referee. With good officiating here this league could easily be one of the better ones in cental IL but the officials are holding it back.
