Chastain Arts Center, run by the City of Atlanta's Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs, offers an Art a la Carte summer camp for ages 5-12 across eight themed weeks. Each week explores a different discipline through two- and three-dimensional work in clay, drawing, painting, sculpture, architecture and mixed media, and every age group also does movement arts such as yoga, dance, acting and improvisation. Established in 1968, it is Atlanta's oldest arts center and enrolls more than 450 children in camp each summer; daily camp hours are not stated.

I did a few years of Pottery wheel here, and I loved every minute of it. If you have any curiosity at all about pottery, just walk in and they will usher you to great heights.

Best arts opportunity in Atlanta. If you like a low key, campy feel with professional instructors, this is your place. Great location on park too.
