Chapman Hill is the City of Durango's in-town ice rink and small ski area, with 500 vertical feet of terrain served by two rope tows, a bumps course and park features, plus snowmaking and grooming. In winter it offers ski and snowboard lessons for all ages and levels, and the rink runs public skating, drop-in hockey, stick and puck, a figure skating program, adult hockey leagues and lessons. In summer the ice comes out and the rink becomes a roller skating surface open for public sessions on daily entry or punch passes, with rentals on site; a hiking and mountain biking trail system runs behind the hill. No summer camp program is shown.

★★★★Stephanie JordanIt's a fun area with a ski hill consisting of primarily artificial snow. The locals seem to enjoy it regularly. The ice rink is a good size and has seating and a cozy fireplace in the lobby area with a concession stand for basic food and drink items. The parking is really tough when it's busy though and you may have to park down the road somewhere and walk.

Love the fence behind the benches, keeps it cool and feels like old time hockey! They also sharpen skates which is convenient because I don’t know of anywhere else in the area that trims steel. Thanks to the employees for all your hard work over the years!

★★★★★Elysia FanninAbsolutely awesome little ski hill and lessons. They were recommended to us by another ski resort as they give ski lessons to 4 year olds. We did lessons with Sam (ski) and Danny (snowboard) and they both were fantastic. Super patient and we were up and riding well by the end of 2 hours. They were also 1/3 of the price of learning to ski at any of the other nearby ski places. The 2 smaller hills were great to learn on and they had one huge hill for those that needed a challenge. While we didn't use it, the ice rink looked beautiful inside and they had plenty of events for everyone to get out and on the ice.
