Chapel Rock is a camp and conference center on 20 wooded acres of ponderosa pine, oak and rock outcroppings in Prescott, owned and operated by the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona. Its summer camp runs sessions for kids from kindergarten through 12th grade, with campers housed on site (the property sleeps up to 270 across bunk and hotel-style beds). Outside summer camp the center hosts school and church groups, corporate retreats and conferences of 20 to 200-plus. Chapel Rock is listed with the American Camp Association.

★★★★★Big TravelerWhat a cool place! The camp program was well thought out, and very organized. The staff was well educated and made learning fun! The cabins were so comfortable, there were great rooms in most cabins with a small fridge, a sink, showers and bathrooms. Each of our rooms with bunk beds (12 in our room) had windows that opened and a separate entrance. The showers had nice warm water, though you have to wait for it a bit. Nothing felt super far away, not more than a 5 min walk at any point. Last, but not least, the food was surprisingly delicious. It was definitely kid friendly, chicken strips, chicken legs, spaghetti…but there was a salad and fruit bar every lunch and dinner. Cereal for breakfast. Soda, coffee and tea available for each meal. The water comes out of a well, and it really is delicious.
