Chances And Services for Youth (CASY) is a Terre Haute nonprofit that runs Camp RAVE, a full-day school-age summer camp based at the Booker T. Washington Community Center on South 13th Street. Camp runs 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, from early June through early August, and is open to children who have just finished kindergarten through fifth grade. Days combine environmental discovery, arts, literacy, STEM and health and wellness activities with swimming and field trips around the Wabash Valley. The $100 weekly fee covers breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, a T-shirt, activities and trips.

★★Ashley McQueenThe counselors themselves have been great with my kids. No complaints there. I do however have serious, serious complaints about the texting/AppClose moderator & Family Court Navigator. My final straw was when my kids were pulled out of school and attended a “counseling session” without my knowledge with the text moderator & family navigator. In this session my girls told me they were cut off repeatedly and couldn't speak and have a voice. My oldest recognized & voiced to me that in every example of bad behavior they used ME as the example! As I was the bad parent and never their dad. Her words to me not mine. My mom is a witness to these statements as well because they voiced these concerns to her with tear filled eyes. They asked to not see this App Moderator any longer. That's how upset it made them. I have been notified via phone call and email EVERY time there has been an appointment and THIS ONE AND ONLY particular time I was NEVER notified. Seems rather odd. This meeting was conveniently just before our court date. Court date where I was asking for these services to cease claiming favoritism towards my ex and these court appointed personnel did not want services to end. After all why wouldn’t they? Text moderation was $100/hr!! & that was a significantly reduced rate. In court my ex quoted my half for these services was going to be $200/month! When I asked the Family Navigator via a phone call about why this happened and myself never having knowledge of the meeting, I was cussed at and hung up on. I reported her behavior that day and was told that her health and medications were causing her poor behavior. Regardless the reason it was ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL on all ends!!!!!!!! My kids were used as weapons against their own mother in my opinion. Only reason I give 2 stars is because some of the counselors are very good to my children. & I do believe these services can do some good in certain situations.
