Champions Kids Camp is a Houston-based nonprofit that provides a free, week-long overnight summer camp in Huntsville for children ages 8-12 who have survived a traumatic injury, illness, or personal loss such as the death of a parent or sibling. Founded in 2001, it serves about 200 campers alongside counselors (called 'Champs'), many of them former campers, at no cost to families. The focus is emotional healing and building resilience.
