Is it me? Or does Champaign-Urbana have nothing anymore? I grew up here, and when I was younger, there was everything to do in all locations. From , theaters, food's, Ryan's buffet, putt putt golfing, batters cage, tilts arcade, ants in there pants, space port gaming,gs macker basketball tournament during the summer, taste of Champaign from vendors new and old, sweet corn festival .There was always something to do or somewhere different to eat. We don't have anything left but skateland that is always overwhelming. Jupiter 2, which is always overwhelming. I work on the campus, and the year after year, even the students continue to ask what is there to do in Champaign? Ans there is nothing but bars and fast food service for them. And that's no good because our college is based on freshman class and underage students. The same thing applies to outside of the campus and the destruction of the town with all the underage violence. Because Champaign-Urbana isn't giving the youth anything to look forward to day by day. Most of the youth is too young to work, and the rest is ineligible. So they ride around looking for something or anything. But there is nothing, so they all gather and that's when problems happen. But giving the students something othere then bars , liquor stores and fast food on campus. Would be nice. Giving the community something other than liquor stores and fast food would be nice. Because I know the truth. Most of the students that transfer to Illini end up transferring out because there is nothing here. Most of the students come frome bigger cities, where there is gaming, live fun and action. Top tier malls and different places to eat. Then they come to Illinois, Champaign, and there is nothing but liquor stores , BBQ, Chinese food, and Taco trucks on every other corner. There is nothing here. Even me and my family and I have to constantly go out of town just to enjoy a nice weekend with fun filled activities. My family of 6 are all high-school students. Skateland doesn't work. Movie theaters are outdated and expensive. And Jupiter arcade is overcrowded. There is nothing else . The 2 bowling allies in town are horrible, and the Orchard bowling Allie is "uncomfortable " for most "people." I shouldn't have to leave town just to enjoy outdoor events. #Makechampaigngreatagain

What a lovely place! One of the coolest things is that the fab lab is located nearby greenhouses. So creative and productive!

This is a place to materialize your idea. There are laser cutting machine, sewing machine, embroidery, and 3d printing. There are also computers and staff to guide you through the design softwares, and machines. You should call and ask for availability and guidance. Parking is limited at the site, but there are plenty around if you don't mind a bit walking.

The Fab lab is a fantastic resource for the community. They offer you access to equipment like 3d printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, woodworking tools, and more importantly there are very friendly people there eager to help you and teach you how to use the equipment free of charge. We are really privileged to have this resource in our community
