The Central Wisconsin Environmental Station (CWES) is a University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point outdoor and environmental education center on 200 acres along Sunset Lake near Amherst Junction. ACA-accredited, it offers day camps for ages 5–10 (weekdays 8:00am–4:30pm) plus residential and wilderness-adventure programs for older youth ages 11–16, teaching Leave No Trace and outdoor skills.

Our granddaughter goes to school there and our children went there when they were young. It's a great experience in the middle if the wiods.
Our neighbor kids go here for school, it's such a wonderful setup, such a great place to go to school. we were there for their winter festival and it was lovely, we really enjoyed it
Lovely, sacred place. Grounds are beautifully kept. Lodge is a great space for events.
Was able to join my sons school field trip. This is such a great center/program. It allows college students to fet hands on interaction with kids. Everyone is learning! Great experience for all the kids, they get to learn things about animals and nature! Beautiful venue!
