The Center for Wildlife is a wildlife rehabilitation and nature-education nonprofit at the base of Mount Agamenticus in Cape Neddick (York), Maine. Its summer day camp is split into two age groups, 5-9 and 10-14, with campers learning about the natural world through hands-on activities indoors and outdoors alongside the center's animal ambassadors.

Eve the volunteer was especially helpful and took out this beautiful turtle named ginger. Outside our favorite ambassador was Poppy the female porcupine she was in a cage, but it was very big and full of wonderful things to climb on. We called her and she came over and put her little paw in face on the window ledge so that we could see her close up our favorite moment of the day so far. If you are in the area, make sure you stop in as well worth it For all ages.p

★★★★★Pamela WilliamsThis is such a wonderful place and I'm so thankful they are nearby for me because I seem to keep coming across barred owls that need rescuing. This is my second one in less than a year. This place relies solely on donations as it is not funded by any government. Check it out! They have all kinds of programs for adults and children and you can visit there on Thursdays through Sundays 9:00 to 4:00. There are volunteer opportunities as well. We spent a day up there some years ago cleaning enclosures and doing some landscape work. Very rewarding!
