Powered by GoogleWhen I had gone there, I was approached by the employee stating that I was on my phone in the locker room, and someone made a complaint. I thought okay maybe my phone looks intimidating in the locker room but never did I have it taking photos, or videos. Then about 5 minutes later they appear again and say I need to stop taking pictures of the other people there. But never once did anything like that happen. No one was even in the locker room where I was at for me to even record others. I feel like they were just trying to throw me out. Not sure why but it was very disappointing they dont even talk to peolle there. Just automatically thinking the Latina woman in the locker room is there to take pictures and harass the other woman there. But ever since that I havenf returned to this facility.
I was a member when I lived in the area. Non members can purchase a day pass to work out. Member locker rooms are very nice. Public locker rooms were okay. Great indoor track, kids playground, and awesome indoor pool! Great place for parties!
The main areas of the plex are rented out. They do have a lot of activities you can do but I mainly want to use the field house. From 5-9pm the field house is rented out for the entire winter so you can't go use it but that's the only time most people can go on tbe weekdays. Its also rented out the entire winter on Sunday from 9am to 9pm. So take your 60 bucks a month and just throw it in the trash it would be the same if you plan to actually use the fieldhouse.
We are about to host a 3rd Birthday party at the SportsPlex and are currently in swimming lessons here. For years this has remained a clean, safe, FUN place for our whole family and it's such a nice indoor activity center in our community! The staff answers every phone call and question promptly.
Went to the Cedar Valley Sportsplex last weekend for the 1st time for an adult volleyball co-ed volleyball tournament. At first glance it looked nice, but I was mistaken. I have multiple things I disliked about this place. First is that there is a design flaw of this facility; there is a space behind the stands where they store bleachers. Balls often fly behind the stands, then someone has to go around the stands and crawl their way through spare bleachers to retrieve the ball. It happened very often since the stands are extremely close to the court. We wasted so much time doing that. That leads me to my 2nd gripe with the layout of this facility. When there are 4 volleyball courts, there is very minimal room to serve on either side! Maybe 3 ft max (see photos). You can only do a standing serve and pretty much always end up stepping over the service line. This is by far the smallest amount of room to serve I’ve ever seen in any facility that has volleyball courts. My 3rd gripe with the cedar valley SportsPlex is the food/beverage options. The concession stands were not open and I wanted to purchase a beverage, so I went to the vending machines. The vending machines are the very old kind that do not take cards. They only accept $1 bills, $5 bills, or quarters. They did have an ATM available, but it only dispenses $20 bills. I went to the front desk to ask if they would break up a $20 bill if I got cash from the ATM, since the vending machine does not accept $20 bills. Their response was “well our ATM is actually broken right now… sorry about that”. So if you don’t have cash, you’re SOL if you want to buy a snack or beverage without leaving the facility. For those reasons, I was not very impressed with the Cedar Valley SportsPlex.
