When I first met one of the staff members in person, I found myself feeling a bit confused about how to address them respectfully. I was raised to say “yes ma’am” or “yes sir” when speaking to adults, and in that moment I wasn’t quite sure how to respond. Later on, when I received an email from the same individual, I noticed pronouns listed in their email signature, which helped explain why I had felt unsure during our interaction. I want to be clear that I’m not someone who tries to make an issue out of how people identify. However, the experience made me reflect on how my child might feel in a similar situation. If I, as an adult, felt unsure about how to communicate respectfully, I wondered if it might also be confusing for him. Because of that, I decided it might not be the best fit for our family at this time. I do appreciate the staff taking the time to answer my questions, and this was simply a personal decision based on what I feel is the most comfortable environment for my child. ***I’d like to clarify something from my original review. When I first met the staff member, the interaction was in person after I had already registered my child. At that time, I had not seen the pronouns in the email signature yet, so I genuinely didn’t know how to address them in the moment. I only noticed the pronouns later when I received the follow-up email, which explained why I had felt unsure during our initial interaction. My comment about being “confused” was not meant to be disrespectful. I was simply explaining that I was raised to address adults as “yes ma’am” or “yes sir,” and in that moment I hesitated because I wanted to be polite and avoid addressing someone incorrectly. As a parent of a 6-year-old, I also considered how he might feel navigating a situation like that at his age. For our family, it just felt like it might create confusion, which is why I ultimately decided the program might not be the best fit for us right now. My review was simply sharing my honest experience and the reasoning behind a personal decision for my child. I do appreciate the staff taking the time to communicate with me, and I wish your program the best moving forward***

I am educator so childcare is very important to me and my 10yr old daughter. We love love love Cayce’s Best! The staff is very friendly, welcoming, respectful, and consistent! The staff really cares about the children and families. They go out of their way to make a difference and add value to each. I pay attention to the little things and they definitely check every box on my list. The place is clean and inviting to children. My daughter has made friends quickly. It is diverse and doesn’t seem like there is any bullying/ misbehavior tolerated. Thank you Cayce’s Best for providing affordable and super reliable afterschool services. I wish we found you years ago! Coach Nyla and the crew is amazing!🤩

My son absolutely loves Cayce's Best! This is a very well run facility with the best coaches and I truly feel safe leaving my child in their care. There are a lot of moving parts with field trips, pizza parties, park dates, etc. each week and they have managed to keep communication open through it all and payments correct - bravo! I will recommend them to anyone and we will be back next summer!
