Carmel Valley Tennis is a full-service tennis facility in Del Mar Heights that runs weekly junior summer camps as half-day sessions, either 9am-12pm or 12pm-3pm. A Pee Wee camp serves ages 5-7, with separate beginner, intermediate and advanced groups for older juniors, and the club also offers adult clinics and team tennis. Camps are booked week by week through the club's online registration.

★★★★★Lisa BI’m a big fan of Carmel Valley Tennis Club. My kids grew up there, and not only did they have fabulous coaches, but the club also fostered a wonderful, warm, family-like atmosphere. They took tennis lessons, attended clinics, and participated in Junior Team Tennis at CV Tennis. Now that my kids are in their 20s, it’s terrific to see that tennis is still such a big part of their lives. I credit CV Tennis with providing them a strong foundation and a lifelong love of the game. Fast forward to today, and I’m now playing on a team out of Carmel Valley Tennis myself. I’ve found the same warmth, encouragement, and support for every player’s tennis journey that made the club so special years ago. Tennis truly is one of the best lifelong sports. Grab a racket and check out this wonderful club!
★Lori BrumatAlthough my son greatly appreciated the high quality of coaching provided by Dan, Jesús, and Vincent, considering no one is returning my calls or emails at the club, I must formally express my dissatisfaction with the administration, which has demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism and ethics. The club abruptly cancelled the elite clinic on the very day it was scheduled, without any notice or explanation, leaving the kids without training for several weeks. Although all parents and kids were very happy with him, they removed coach Vincent from the courts without justification, and then attempted to replicate the program he had carefully developed and poach his clients — but without involving him. Furthermore, despite my repeated requests, the club has failed to provide a detailed invoice showing how they calculated the reimbursement for the prepaid clinics that were cancelled. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this club to anyone who is serious about their tennis. This is in line with what I had heard from competitive players - now I know first-hand.

More recently, my daughter has entered into CVT's Junior Tennis Tournament program and is getting ready to play her first singles tournament. None of this would be possible without the guidance of the coaches at CVT. If you are interested in improving your tennis game or getting the training needed for tournament play, I would highly recommend Carmel Valley Tennis!

You don't have to be a member, you can rent a court for a nominal fee. There are four tennis courts with lights. Call to make a reservation ahead of time as they do get busy. They also have a full service pro shop where you can buy tennis clothes, racquets, balls, and shoes, as well as racquet stringing service. The staff is helpful and friendly. Check it out!
