Great courts and environment, but the pro shop staff is extremely rude over the phone. I have had multiple conversations with a female employee whose tone is uncalled for. I did not have a good experience in person with them either.

I can not say enough about how much I love this place! Always fresh and always good! Service on point always.

Nicely maintained public tennis facility with seven courts. Smaller nets are set up for younger children and summer camps. Restrooms, water fountains, concessions, bleachers, and shaded tables are at the facility. There is an interesting sign describing the history of City Park, including mention of the old zoo, carousel, and swimming lagoon, and the challenges that closed these due to segregation in the city. Open house tennis for young kids happens many Saturday mornings starting at 8:30am during the school year and 9:30am for older kids and teens, but call ahead to check the schedule since it is sometimes cancelled for tournaments or inclement weather. Coach Ojo is the best!

Facilities were clean. For a quarter, we bought about a half gallon of ice from an ice vending machine. Had never seen such a thing. Genius!

One of the best parks to play at in Baton Rouge. There is some shade during these grueling summer months and the lighting is not blinding at nights. Johnathan behind the desk is also quite chill which adds to the experience.
