Only spent a little time here but was really impressed with the children's playground. Lots of kids and nice clean play area with cool new equipment.

Do not send your child to any child care program especially summer camp if Ronica is in charge. She talks poorly on the kids right in front of them she did it to mine last year. She is a biased person as well. She doesn’t care for the kids, parents, or her staff. She has terrible communication with parents. The program would run more smoothly if her assistant Alicia would run it. She cares for all the kids and gives them the best experience they can have. She communicates amazingly with the parents. She is always positive and had a great attitude. I loved the classroom dojo platform she used to post upcoming events. She has great activities planned for the kids of all ages and field trips. My kids loved them. She was always available to get ahold of at any time a day. And very quick to respond back as well. The Y could use more staff like her that actually cares for the kids and parents. It is sad to hear that she isn’t the assistant anymore. You made a terrible mistake of not having her at the camp. Your new assistants are just like Ronica. You can never get ahold of them. They are always on her phone not paying attention to the kids. I found several kid wondering the halls without an adult watching them. They are highly disrespectful and talk rudely in front of the kids and cuss in front of them. They are too busy on there phones or talking to even watch or play with the kids. My kids said that today was awful and they were bored. They didn’t do anything. No activities were done. I can’t believe the YMCA has come to this.

Long overdue review. I've been going to the Y for around 17 years and started at the downtown location. Staff are great, and the gym has everything I need. Having the pools and the basketball courts at the downtown location was always nice, but I have no complaints here. Staff do a great job of keeping the gym clean and making repairs when need be, and the front desk has been accommodating when I've had issues with my card.

The gym is really nice but they complain about my son going passed 8 when he is 17 and I allow him to go so they suspend my card for after hours. Mostly the white haired old lady that works there seems to cry about just anything. Good gym but old staff members never get off your neck.

Gym is great, people are great, equipment is great. However, I hope you don’t have to deal with the white haired front desk receptionist Debbie at any given moment your inside this gym. She’ll breath down your neck, follow you around and borderline harass you when you’re simply just trying to work out. Makes up rules that I’ve never heard of for the 8+ years I’ve been coming here. The other employees say they don’t like her, and every gym-goer here I hear talk about her has nothing to say besides how they can’t ever get her off their back as if us customers are always up to something scandalous. you could be somebody whose being doing the same routine with this place for years and she’ll quickly try to come up with a rule on why she thinks anything is wrong, as if she runs the place. YMCA of st joe, for your reputation, we’d all love to experience a much more welcoming second home with Debbie not trying to make us want to leave. Great place besides that ☺️
