I have literally nothing negative to say about Camp Yakety Yak. It took a few days for my (autistic, highly gifted) son to adjust, but on the 3rd day, he asked how long I had signed him up for because he wanted to return. He formed friendships with children who have so much in common with him, and just the other day went to the movies with one of them. He learned to cook new things, got to see snakes with an expert, and told me I "was right" to force him to go. I am so glad they offer financial help for low-income families, as paying the tuition as a single mom would have been really tough. I will make it a point to save over the next year so I can sign him up again. I also randomly found out that several teenagers I know were working there as counselors, and they are all fantastic individuals. Thank you for this incredible opportunity for ND children and their tired mamas.

My son went here for a summer camp and he said it was awesome! I think that he needs to go again next year.
