Camp Westminster is a rustic summer camp and year-round retreat center on 42 acres of forest and lakefront on Higgins Lake in Roscommon, a ministry of Westminster Church of Detroit that has run a summer program every year since 1925. Campers ages 7-17 sail, kayak, canoe and swim in Higgins Lake and use ropes courses, a climbing wall, an archery range, miles of trails and an outdoor chapel, with faith formation woven through the program. Both overnight and day camp options are offered.

We had a wonderful time in a beautiful setting on Higgins Lake just right for checking all of the religious summer camp playbook boxes. To name a few highlights: Climbing tower, canoeing, nature activities, singing silly songs, bible study, archery, volleyball, swimming, sailing, and the prerequisite talent show at weeks end.
