Powered by GoogleWe toured the Camp today and our son got to experience a few things that the camp offered. He's 12 and can't stop talking about it as we drove back home. He also already made a friend. The other parents that attended the open house were also nice and friendly. It's great that it's different nationalities as well because we are the UNITED STATES!!! It's definitely a family oriented vibe. The cabins are nice and it's cool that counselors have a bunk in the cabin as well. Also it's great that the showers have a lock on them and are separate. Can wait for camp!!
I went about a month ago and completely forgot to write a review. My classmates and I all went to this camp for our retreat, only for there to be bedbugs (my bed/cabin being one of the two cabins who had them.) I was told that my clothes would be washed, but it wasn’t until I got home that I realized five pieces of clothing were gone! Luckily, three of the shirts that were lost were mixed up with my friend’s clothes that were also washed so I was able to get them back but two other pieces of my clothing I never got back or found. One minor other thing is that one of my classmates also found a fishing line in their food.
BED BUGS!!! My 8th grader when with his class for a retreat with SJN, bed bugs in several cabins, the kids had to be bused back to school, and the BEST PART? The camp didn’t launder ANYTHING, just shoved the kids and all the bags(with bugs) back in the bus and let the parents deal with it. Was forced to toss everything!! Everything was a total loss, SUITCASES, clothes, everything!! No so much as an apology from this facility
The staff wasn’t there when we arrived, found literal bedbugs in beds and more bugs everywhere, fishing line in food and didn’t even have enough life jackets for everyone.
So much for the kids to do here every day. Beautiful memories are created her each & every year...and every part of the staff here loves the Lord!
