Camp Wesley Woods is a United Methodist camp on 700 acres in Townsend, less than 10 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains. Summer camp sessions serve 1st graders through high school seniors, and the camp also runs a special-needs camp for ages 10-22. Outside of summer it hosts outdoor education and retreat programs for schools, churches, nonprofits and college groups. The property is a forested valley with mountain views and the Capshaw Branch running into the Little River.

★★abigail busbyAs an ex-camper, this is a PSA that if your child is not social please do not send them here. I had panic attacks every single night and was refused phone calls to my parents. I did not have toilet paper for 3 days and was only allowed two showers during my seven day stay. One of these showers I was only permitted to be in for one minute. I contracted a urinary tract infection due to this. The staff was nice and comforting, however please please please do not send a child to camp here if they are unsociable. Everyone’s experience is different and I know almost all of the girls in my cabin had a fantastic time, even if I did not.
