Camp Wassatoga Youth Camp

Outdoor youth camp on the west end of Lake Sara near Effingham, offering camping, hiking, canoeing, campfires, and volleyball with a heated lodge, platform tents, and a picnic shelter. Formerly a Girl Scout camp, it has been run since 2021 by the nonprofit Friends of Camp Wassatoga and is open to all area youth. Summer sessions include adventure, animal, and intro programs for ages 5 to 18.
