Camp WaMaVa is a Christian overnight camp in the Blue Ridge Mountains at Linden, Virginia, established in 1956 and supported by churches of Christ serving youth from the Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland area. The camp offers a faith-centered summer encampment with outdoor games and recreation, and rents its grounds to groups outside the summer season.

★★★★★Colin MahoneyI live for camp WaMaVa. Every year I go back for the loving and caring staff and also the loving campers, your relationship with christ grows a lot during that week at camp. I have gone for 4 years now and every time I have the time of my life, if you are on the fence about sending your kid to camp, just know they are never alone at camp, the loving staff will make sure every camper has a great time, the food is amazing as well. It's such a wonderful feeling to now see my grandchildren enjoying the same safe, loving, Christian value surroundings that their parents enjoyed. The camp also have policy and procedures in place to protect campers. They not only have them in place but they are enforced 100%. You will be put at ease about leaving your children for the first time once you meet the friendly loving staff and read the daily emails along with daily pictures of your little one having a blast and learning about Christ in a Christian environment.

My own children are now old enough to be campers, and they love it just as much as I do. If you are new to the area and are looking for a Christian camp, look no further. Campers can stay for one or two weeks, and financial assistance is available for those in need. Activities include swimming, hiking, organized sports/recreation, arts/crafts, and much more. Each day there are Bible classes and devotional time as well. It's a great place full of great people; I have made so many wonderful memories there, and I hope you get the chance to do the same.
