Powered by GoogleOECMN women retreat spent a day at Camp Victory and my personal experience is just as listed below from Bible verses Psalm 23:2-3: "He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul..." Friendly and personal staff helped us to explore through in one day which requires more time without their assistance Safe place with it's natural beautiful landscape, river, lakes and many recreational opportunities to those who dares to explore such a beautiful retreat center For a moment I felt like I am back home in ethiopia and visiting my birth place where I got up playing and exploring rivers, lakes and coffee plantation in the forest God bless all
First time at CV, we had an amazing experience! Amazing staff and food! Oromo Evangelical Church of MN (OECMN)-women’s Ministry annual retreat.
Working with the Camp Victory Staff to run a retreat has been the smoothest experience I could find. They are truly in love with Our Lord and striving after their mission to help others encounter Christ. Working as a Campus Minister at a high school, CV is both the cheapest option I have found and the most hospitable. I have helped on or run almost 10 retreats at Camp Victory over the past 3 years and would continue going back because of the wonderful balance they have found: highly affordable (relative to most camp grounds of a similar nature) and yet incredible access to well maintained facilities, a beautiful river valley, and a plethora of activities: fields and a gym for sports, trails for hiking, 9 square, mini golf, bon fires, talk spaces, in-floor heated sleeping accommodations, meal service, spaces for relaxation and very decent food (I have only had 2 instances of my high schoolers complaining about meals). As for the staff, I have come to deeply appreciate the flexibility and help I have received. Running retreats for a Catholic School rightfully requires many particular needs for sleeping and living space arrangements according to VIRTUS and Safe Environment guidelines. Camp Victory has been incredibly flexible in giving us as many rooms and spaces as we need even if it means some empty beds. I have greatly appreciated this sacrifice and help in organizing retreats. The only negative experience I have had with Camp Victory was a particular case where a gluten free meal was determined later by an allergist to actually contain gluten. This sadly ended in a trip to the Hospital. All involved are healthy and doing well. Even in this, the response of the staff to the situation was exceptional in facilitating the emergency vehicles and staying by our side until all was settled. I even had two staff members reach out individually after our weekend to see if the student was doing well and sharing that they had been praying for them! Thank you to all the Camp Victory staff who have made running retreats at CV such a great experience! God bless all of you.
A stunningly beautiful camp with lots of fun outdoor activities for all ages including mini-golf! Friendly and encouraging staff who strive to promote community and belonging amongst all who go there! It’s in the perfect location to experience the peace and joy nature brings with all of the various outdoor activities and beautiful grounds Camp Victory has! The grounds are well kept and clean and they even have an outdoor chapel for worship! They also have an on site camp store filled with necessities and fun souvenirs for campers! Would highly recommend this camp for anyone looking to grow their faith through their various youth camps and retreat options! Their retreat coordinator Megan (aka Java) does a wonderful job and truly has a passion for serving others with compassion as well as supporting their faith journey! Love that this camp is so close to home and look forward to the many memories we will make there! We love you Camp Victory!
Our group took a leader weekend trip this January and it was such a treat! The camp is nestled in the lovely countryside between rolling hills and a meandering river. The cabins and gathering spaces were just what we needed. The staff was very accommodating, respectful, and kind. The snow tubing and broomball were a huge hit! Highly recommend for a winter getaway.
