THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!!!!!! I was just there yesterday and Wednesday, stayed two nights and three days! Is was the best experience EVER it was awesome the people there were amazing and nice and funny and the principal YETI!!!!!! Was awesome and funny, Sporrow, squirrel, Jupiter, the Lorax, and many other people there that was amazing!!!! I wished I’d stayed there for 5 WEEKS!!!!!!!! That’s how awesome and amazing this place is! I won a shirt with all the people there! Thank u all including YETI!!!!!!!! Now this is an awesome skueeule!!!!🤪😁

Went as a parent chaperone...the naturalists were fantastic. They were engaging with all the kids and got many of them really excited about the natural world which is very impressive in our digital age. My husband and I held our wedding reception at Shady Creek and it was everything I could have hoped for! Kindy was great to work with and helped accommodate our requests. Descent price, beautiful location, and friendly staff! I would advise that this is not a full service wedding venue. This is perfect for the couple that wants flexibility and is willing to put in the extra work to curate their reception. The ability to host our own bar, the location, and the great outdoor event tent were the things that made us choose Shady Creek over more pricey venues in town. We had to put in some work, but this ended up saving us a lot of money and our reception was exactly what we wanted. The wedding tent at night is gorgeous, there are cafe lights around the edge. We also added extra strands over the dance floor, as well as some lighting around the perimeter as we had some games and gathering spaces outside the tent. Restrooms are in the hall and are easily accessible, although could be tricky for elderly guests as they are up some stairs. Shady Creek was kind enough to allow us to use their tables(circular and rectangle), and we only needed to bring a few more in for our needs. They also allowed us to use the plates and cutlery from the kitchen, which aren’t fancy but are much better than disposable. There are drinking water taps nearby and plugs for electricity, although we recommend bringing extension chords. The only bummer is their 10pm quiet hour, which is understandable but I wish we could have kept the party going longer! We only used the tent, but there are other gorgeous locations around the campus to throw events(like the hall and rose lawn). I was so happy with how everything went and would choose Shady Creek again in a heartbeat!

Granddaughter just spent the week here. She loved it! Wishes that they could have longer showers, restrooms in the cabins for night time. She has been nonstop talking about her experiences at the camp. Loved the staff, loved the pool, loved all round her experiences.

The 20 the annual fungus foray and wild mushroom exposition was very eye opening the experience to mycology in our local area. There are many diverse mushrooms that are amazing.
