Camp Varsity is a traditional rustic overnight summer camp on 125 acres at the base of Gaar Mountain near Shenandoah National Park in Madison, Virginia, first opened in 1966. Serving youth ages 8-15, it offers one-week sessions (up to three weeks) in an unplugged, back-to-nature environment, averaging around 135 campers per week across a well-rounded traditional camp program.

A perfect place for a kid to be themselves without any outside pressure. Activities include everything from your regular recreational sports, to made up games like The Game, and Rambo. Coming from a staff perspective we love love love our jobs! and love love love the kids who come to camp! My favorite childhood memories are from my summers here, and I want every kid who can, to experience the feelings and overall weeks that I got to as a kid. This is more than a summer camp, it is a way of life, a home away from home. I have learned more from this place, my past counselors, and my summers on staff then any textbook, or lesson from school ever could.
