Camp Turtle Rock is a traditional summer day camp held on the California Lutheran University campus in Thousand Oaks and operated by Camp Summertime, Inc. Campers rotate through team and individual sports (soccer, baseball, basketball, tennis, archery, a climbing wall and electric go-carts for 3rd-8th graders), recreational swimming in the university's heated pool with Red Cross certified water safety instructors, arts and crafts, an on-site petting zoo, and nature and marine-science activities including live tide-pool animals and creek study. The 2026 season runs eight sessions from mid-June to early August for ages 5 to 13, 9:30am-3:30pm, with extended care from 7:30am to 5:30pm at additional cost. Campers are grouped by similar grade or age, with Kindergarten groups co-ed and most 1st-6th grade groups single-gender; the camp is ACA-accredited and enrollment is limited and first come, first served.
