Scouting America (Boy Scouts) camp on 166 acres in LaPorte County near Michigan City, owned by the LaSalle Council and in use since 1948. It hosts Cub Scout day camp and overnight Scout summer camp programs, with recently added storm shelters and program pavilions built with the Marine Corps Engineering Battalion. Campers attend through their Scout pack or troop rather than enrolling individually.

We stayed in the scouters lodge east and west with one cabin for our boys and one for the girls with a section in the middle we used for the leaders. The concrete slab in back near the fire pit made a great outdoor kitchen area. With easy access to the cabin and fire pit for dutch oven cooking. Check in and out was easy also.
