Camp Swamp has been truly life-changing for our family. It is a wonderful place where our kids have built lifelong friendships, grown in confidence, and been introduced to God’s love through Christ in a real and meaningful way. The environment is encouraging, genuine, and full of joy. We are deeply grateful for the impact Camp Swamp has had on our family, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I don't know how many reviews they have from current campers but let me tell you one thing this camp WILL change your life. I have never felt so loved by people my age and older at this camp. It is the BEST place to come to when you want to escape from the world. Not only do they make this camp super fun with a pool, slides, games, laser tag, and so much more!! They also include time for us campers to be able to connect with God. My sister (who is 10) just started going to camp and it is so awesome to see her experiencing the same love I got my first year at camp!! This year will be my 5th year going to summer camp and I can't wait!!!!

I simply couldn't say enough good words about Camp Swamp. It directed my course toward a deeper pursuit of God, and I'm not sure if my life would be where it is today had the camp not been such an integral part of my childhood and young adult life. I'm grateful that it is still a part of my adult life, and I can't wait until my son is old enough to be a camper. In my time as a camper at the Swamp, I learned better how to BE a friend instead of just searching for friends. It taught me how to let go of some of my insecurities and be more like a little child. I wanted to pursue God because I saw my counselors and the staff at the camp following Jesus joyfully and having the time of their lives. As a teen worker at camp, I learned how to place others' interests ahead of my own, how to work as a team, and how to find joy in and the labor of my hands, even when very tired. One of my favorite weeks of my life was as a teen worker. As a counselor at camp, I learned how to take care of those entrusted to me by ensuring they had fun and that they had a safe place to come and talk. It taught me how to take responsibility for my mistakes and to give grace to others for theirs. Now as a teacher during the Shining Stars Performing Arts week held at Camp Swamp once a year, it continually teaches me how to stand in awe of God's image manifested in all the campers, so incredibly unique and talented, and in everyone present. Whether young or old, the camp reminds us that our life does not consist of the stuff we have or of all the technology we are wired to or of rapid pace of our society and all its crazy ups and downs. It provides a chance for us to slow down, connect with our creator and be reminded who we are and whose we are. And it's from that place that I believe we are all able to be more like the humans we are made to be for each other. I will also say that the leadership of the camp and its camp board do a fantastic job. They are intentional, considerate, and faithful in how they plan events and steward the place itself. They each believe deeply in the Swamp's mission. They plan curriculum prayerfully and passionately. The number of programs has grown significantly since I was young. The Swamp Corps program, which takes the camp around the world and empowers communities to offer similar opportunities for their children, is truly incredible. There are now so many opportunities to experience the Swamp throughout the year, which excites me because this place truly has the heart to bless everyone who comes into its orbit.

This is THE BEST summer camp I have ever seen BY FAR. I was a camper here back in the 90s and early 2000s and absolutely loved it. Then I counseled here as a college student, and now my kids are campers here every year. It is the highlight of the year for them. This camp has fantastic leadership that helps create an incredible atmosphere, helping kids from all backgrounds feel safe and cared for, while fostering strong friendships among campers that last a lifetime. They build a foundation of faith that helps kids mature and grow in their walk with God. I cannot recommend this camp more highly. They also have retreats throughout the year for parents and kids to participate in together, which are wonderful opportunities for family bonding.

Camp Swamp has held a special place in my heart for over three decades. Back in '92, I came to camp as a wide-eyed camper, long before we owned this picturesque land in Union Point. Throughout the '90s, I found myself drawn back each summer, this time as a counselor, guiding young hearts and building lifelong friendships in God's creation. As the years continued, so did my bond with Camp Swamp. Watching my own kids inherit the legacy in the early 2000s has filled me with immense joy and brought connection in a new way. From eager campers to dedicated workers and counselors, witnessing their journey mirrored the transformative power of this sanctuary. The memories flood back – my parents' selfless dedication, volunteering in the kitchen during my formative years. Now, as life comes full circle, my husband and I eagerly prepare to step into those same kitchen roles this summer, carrying forward the legacy of service and love. Capturing the essence of Camp Swamp in words feels difficult. It's where the hustle and bustle of life fade into the background, allowing one to truly listen to the whispers of the Father. Here, amidst towering trees and wide open spaces, I've found solace and connection like nowhere else. For my children, Camp Swamp is more than just a summer retreat; it's a sanctuary of safety and acceptance where they're enveloped in love and nurtured in their spiritual journey. The friendships they have made here are deep and special. If you're on the hunt for a place where your kids can flourish rest assured that Camp Swamp will exceed your wildest expectations. But a word of warning: forging a connection with this extraordinary camp isn't just a transaction; it's an invitation to join a loving, tight-knit family. Once touched by its magic, you'll find yourself changed, forever bound to the heart of the Camp Swamp family. There's no place I would rather be!
