Powered by GoogleWe went for a planetarium field trip and I learned so much about this amazing universe God made! My preteen and young teen boys had a great time too! Definitely a great place for building on an astronomy lesson, without the evolution nonsense!
Everything was wonderful!
What a treat. An exceptional camp experience. Most staff I ever seen at a camp. We were well taken care of and even catered to where we were not expected to clean up after ourselves which is unheard of at a camp. We were spoiled. Oh the meals were top notch, not your normal hot dogs and chips. No bunks, thick mattresses, towel bars, split units (AC) in each room and hooks installed, plenty of outlets and bathroom for each room. Nice gameroom with seating, air hockey, ping pong, foosball, board games and crafts. All activity areas were in short distances, ziplines, archery, boating, a big slide to the water which we didn't get to try bc not warm enough. The train and planetarium were a special treat. Another treat, the Sunrise Cafe served lattes and shaved ice with a camp store for souvenirs.
We went there this weekend for a Girl Scout Spring Camp. My girls had a great time, and the Saft was amazing!
We just completed an overnight group event at camp sunrise. It was my first experience at the camp and I absolutely loved it. The lodging is basic, but perfect for a "summer camp style" retreat. The food was good and all of the staff were so helpful and great with the kids. They were upbeat and very knowledgeable. We participated in a bonfire, zipline, archery, a challenging hike, planetarium, train and had plenty of other fun activities to fill in free time. The staff organized and led everything...even field games for our group. I absolutely reccomend this camp.
