Camp Sunrise is a free residential wilderness camp on 279 acres along the St. Croix River near Rush City, about 60 miles north of the Twin Cities, serving 250-300 youth ages 13-18 from Minneapolis and St. Paul each year. Campers sleep in army-style platform tents; there is no running water outside the lodge kitchen, and campers use outhouses. The program is a year-round youth development effort focused on bringing together youth and adults from diverse backgrounds in an outdoor multicultural setting. It opened in 1974 as a Northern States Power Company program, became its own nonprofit in 1977, and is now part of YouthCare.

I wish I could visit now in my early 40's 🥰🥰🥰
