Camp Sonshine Solaris is the overnight arm of Camp Sonshine, a nonprofit Christian camp located near Firth, just south of Lincoln, Nebraska. Its residential sessions serve campers in grades 3 through 9, who stay overnight and take part in classic camp activities such as archery, go-karts, swimming, and gaga ball in a Christ-centered setting. Our kids love Camp Sonshine-Solaris. The kids had a great time both times they went to camp. We would of went in 2023 but we took an extended vacation. There are tons of activities for them to do, they keep the kids really busy. I love that the kids can't have cell phones for a whole week, and still had tons of fun.
This was our 10 year old daughters first over night camp experience and she was so nervous before she went. She was actually in tears because she was going by herself. She had so much fun and she told us she didn’t want to leave the last day! Her favorite part was the aerial park! She did 3 nights this time and wants to do 5 nights next year. Her and the girls she met all want to come back the same time next year so they can see each other again. It was exactly the experience we were hoping for! Great job Camp Solaris!
My son has attended for a couple of years and absolutely loves the place, and all of the staff that works here. Everytime we drop him off, the greet him by name and seen genuinely happy to see him. They are also really friendly to me and my wife and always go above and beyond.
Our church rented the camp for a weekend. The rooms were well-kept, and the dining/activity room was HUGE. They had an inflatable water slide the kids loved. The fire pit worked great for s'mores. The staff was helpful. We loved our time there, and will book it again next summer.
