Camp Simcha, run by the nonprofit Chai Lifeline, is a medically supervised kosher overnight camp in Glen Spey, NY, for Jewish children with cancer and other serious blood disorders; a companion session, Camp Simcha Special, serves children with chronic illnesses and disabilities. On-site oncologists, ER doctors, nurses, and emergency medical support allow campers to take part in adapted traditional camp activities and special events. The program is provided free of charge.
