Camp Sidney Dew is the Northwest Georgia Council's Scout camp on 650 acres in Armuchee, bordered by the Chattahoochee National Forest and John's Creek, about 20 miles north of Rome. It runs a week-long summer camp program for Scouts BSA troops, and Cub Scout packs, troops and Venturing crews use the property for unit camping year-round. The camp has 15 tent campsites with potable water, latrines, covered pavilions and tables, and several lean-to shelters; a trout stream on the property opens annually to fishing. Founded in 1939, it is Georgia's oldest Scout camp.

★★★★★Herb BuslerTroop 435 was staying here for the weekend but we couldn't due to family in town so we went for just Saturday. What a wonderful camp site. Plenty of places to stay and parking wasn't a problem. The camp staff were very friendly and helpful. The restrooms were clean and the site had zero trash. We did the orienteering course, which wasn't easy, that allowed us to see most of the camp. I think this might be in the running for summer camp next year. I hope we get to go back sooner than later.

★★★★★Jon G.Great fun. Forget your troubles, since there is almost no cell svc, you wouldn't be able to check the news anyway. Lots of activities to do that they organized. Bounce houses, helicopter landing and tour, BB shooting, obstacle courses, patrol dog meet and greet, bomb squad display, characters from the true ghostbusters and food truck vendors. Dew dog for the scouts was a great day.
