Camp Shawnee is a Christian Appalachian Project residential summer camp on 300 acres along Dewey Lake in Floyd County, one of the oldest camps in Eastern Kentucky. It serves children ages 6 to 15 who might not otherwise afford camp, offering week-long sessions with canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, and field games. Fees are on a sliding scale, and no family is turned away for inability to pay.
