Camp Shamineau is a year-round Christian camping ministry affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America, on more than 700 acres just south of Motley plus a 22-acre island in Lake Shamineau and a 59-acre outpost, Rock Ridge Camp, in Ely. Summer campers ride the zip line, ride horses at the on-site ranch, climb the climbing wall, and swim, tube and use 'The Blob' at the waterfront. Beyond summer camps and trips it runs weekend youth camps, family camps, parent-child weekends, adult camps and rental weekends. The ministry traces to 1912 and moved to the Lake Shamineau property in 1957, holding its first summer there in 1958.

The bunk rooms are clean, spacious, and many and are nicely situated around the chapel room w/ restrooms also centrally located. The dining area is spacious and the indoor rec center has many options, from basketball to climbing wall to ping pong to foos ball, to pool, to gaga ball, to volleyball, to floor hockey, and more.

Too many things to do and enjoy, lots of activities to keep all ages busy and great food. Kids loved the beach, petting zoo, and laser tag the most. We feel completely safe there and trust sending our kids there. Great staff and always looking to bring people closer to God. Cannot recommend this place enough.
