Camp Sealth - ADA
American Diabetes Association - National Office (Accredited Camps)
Camp Sealth - ADA is an American Diabetes Association family retreat held at the Camp Sealth site on Vashon Island, Washington, for families who have a child diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It is a three-day, two-night weekend getaway attended by the whole family rather than a children's sleepaway session: families connect with other families, share experiences and pick up diabetes-management information, skills and tools. ADA camps are led by counsellors and licensed medical staff trained in the ADA's Standards of Care in Diabetes, with a team of clinicians providing round-the-clock care, and the ADA runs CIT and LIT programmes for 16- and 17-year-olds across its camps. Registration offers two self-selected price levels with further financial assistance for qualifying families, and the ADA states that no child is ever turned away from camp because of a family's ability to pay.

Our whole family even went one-year to help clear fallen trees and debris from wind storm. A lot of great memories from a earlier time frame.
★★★★belleCabins were surprisingly pretty nice, electricity and heating, but a short walk to the bathrooms. Right next to a beach!!! But it is Washington, so you probably won't be able to swim :) pretty anyways, got some nice photos. Also there's a big field with a volleyball court :) outdoor seating as well as a mess hall
★Shawn HarjuThis camp DISGUSTS me. I came here with my school and was immediately taken aback by the cabins. In the cabins there were lots of bugs and even spider eggs under my bed. I had to ask a teacher to remove them because when asking a counselor was told, "We are in nature". In the middle of the night I heard a scream from one of my cabin mates as a roach crawled across the floor. The next morning we served breakfast and noticed the whipped cream can had mold on the tip. The bathrooms looked great at first until I saw spiders in the toilets. We were told we would be doing archery and then we ended up not doing it. And the bouldering wall was falling apart. Would not recommend due to unsanitary living conditions and broken/old facilities along with horrendous food.
★Ashlee chouPoor quality cabin. Very thin layer between rooms and you can hear all noises from neighbors. No strict carry out of policy. It obviously says no pet in camp and cabin. Someone brought a pet dog in, which is very active and noisy at night. Given the thin layer between rooms. It was very scary. Talked to the admin staff but no actual resolution was taken. Wouldn’t come back again. There are other better options.
