Camp Sam Wood is a 450-acre Boy Scouts of America camp in Portageville, NY, run by the local scouting council. In summer it hosts Cub Scout overnight (resident) adventure camp with activities including archery, swimming in an in-ground pool, a BB-gun range, orienteering, and geocaching. Campers stay in tent lean-tos and heated lodges on wooded grounds with a trout stream and forest trails. Open to registered Cub Scouts.
