I have been attending Camp CRL for years, since I was about 6 or 7 years old, and I absolutely love it! It has been such a big part of my life, and I looked forward to it every year. The camp is a wonderful place where girls can have fun, learn new things, build confidence, and create memories that last a lifetime. One of the best parts of Camp CRL is the friendships. You meet so many amazing people, and some of my closest friends today are friends I met at camp. The bonds you make there are truly special and can last for years. The counselors are always fantastic, caring, and encouraging. They do an amazing job making everyone feel welcome, included, and supported. They help create a positive and fun environment where campers can be themselves and enjoy every moment. There are so many fun activities, opportunities to learn new skills, and experiences that make each year memorable. Camp CRL has given me countless happy memories, lifelong friendships, and experiences I will always cherish. If you’re looking for an incredible summer camp for girls, I highly recommend Camp CRL. It is truly one of the best camps, and I am so grateful for all the wonderful years I have spent there!

I feel so lucky to have found Camp Riva Lake 10 years ago for my daughters who are now 17 and 19. They spent several wonderful summers with their friends from across the country at their summer escape in Tennessee. If your looking for a camp that fosters growth and community while allowing your daughter to detach from her phone and everyday life this is where you should send her. CRL will challenge her to step outside and live with nature where she will go to sleep to the sounds of woods and will be exhausted because of all the fun she's had swimming, riding horses and doing outdoor games. She'll come home with dirty clothes, millions of memories, too many camp songs and a glow and a new outlook on life and friendship. My daughters have gone to great schools, been on winning sports teams and traveled too many places but the week's at CRL were some of the most impactful on their lives. They have maintained friendships and still value the experiences they had at CRL to this day.

I attended Camp Riva-Lake from 2005 to 2012 as a camper, CIT, and counselor. I return every now and then, and no matter what season of life I'm in, I still get the same rush of excitement when I get into Winchester, and the bigger rush when I get into town... Another burst when I turn on Riva Lake Road, and I'm bursting at the seams by the time I get through the gate. I'm home. It is safe to say that CRL changed the trajectory of my life. I never knew how much I needed camp as a space. I needed the friends I made, the skills I built, the time I spent reflecting on its lush grounds, and the escape from the big ol city. It remains a sanctuary and special place. Sentimentality aside, CRL is always staffed with attentive, intelligent, and compassionate people at every level, from the barn, to the Rock House, to the counselors, to the dining room. Everyone is vetted thoroughly and makes camp a seamless and safe experience for girls. The girls do not choose their activities and are encouraged to step outside of their comfort zones to try new activities in a place that lacks judgement and is abundant in patience, support, and love. The lack of phones is a big deal in this era and takes the electronics-induced anxiety away. It will unravel neuroses and replace them with happy memories, good friends, and tranquility.

I was a camper many moons ago, and then a CIT (counselor in training) and would not trade those years for anything. Learning woodslore, canoeing, swimming, riding, archery - so many skills - and when I went back and visited a few years ago for the first time, I loved how so much was the same, but with a fancy new bath house I was a little envious the new kids get! A special place for those who prefer a camp not feel like a hotel room, but have a woodsy, rustic vibe that transcends decades. The friendships made there, the beautiful location make memories I will always treasure.
