I attended Camp Oyo with a group of cadets from my school's MCJROTC for a week-long leadership camp. It was an amazing experience. The staff were incredibly kind and always ready to lend a hand when needed. Overall, the camp was a great experience, and I’m definitely planning to return next year.

There is great hiking around the camp. The camp also has a really cool creek swimming hole, outdoor chapel and full time caretaker. (photos are from across Shawnee Road along the Harber Fork of Turkey Creek.

Ranger Matt Taylor was very knowledgeable of the properties history and was wonderful about answering questions regarding the camp.

Boy Scout Camp OYO provides memories for many around the Tri-State and throughout the region. Scouts play an historical role in this region. Take the family by for a look at historic cabins and a lovely spot on Turkey Creek!
