YMCA Camp Ocoee is a traditional overnight camp on the Ocoee River in southeast Tennessee, operating since 1923 as a branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chattanooga. One-week sessions serve boys and girls ages 7-17, who choose focus activities each morning and spend afternoons with their cabin group. Activities span land and water: whitewater rafting, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, climbing, mountain biking, paintball and overnight camp-outs. The camp keeps a 4:1 camper-to-staff ratio and describes a Christian camp environment.

Our school did a retreat there! Great place! Staff is super with the kids, especially on the elements encouraging them to finish! Food is also excellent considering it's a camp! Kudos to the chef!

My daughter mostly had a great time and enjoyed the staff! I think she would have been a lot happier with kids her age. They put her in a group with 7 year olds instead of with her peers/ 11 year olds. They realized the mistake and still left her there even tho my husband called and asked why she was pictured with little kids 🤷 so she missed out on the camp out and the full experience of hanging with friends and having chit chat with people her age. She actually came home feeling kind of down and said she wanted to come home a few days earlier 😞 she wants to try again next year tho 😊

This place is an amazing place to send your kids and/or get married. We had our wedding here and Chelsea was our coordinator and legit our wedding would not have been the same without her. She is not a brat - she is stern yet kind and has been a counselor for years and also manages the property handily. There are specific instructions upon arrival that guests must read - sounds like someone didn’t. Do yourself a favor and ignore Julie Mazz’ review lol. Additionally, my wife and her family have been coming to this camp for years/decades. The cabins are super legit and the views are absolutely beautiful. The staff is also friendly and knowledge and will take very good care of your kids! I am not employed by the camp. I felt obligated to fight a blatantly inaccurate review by posting this review. Cheers!

Our son has enjoyed this camp for 5 summers. Great place to disconnect from social pressures and be kids in a Christian environment with biblical studies.

This is the 2nd year of camp here for my son. He really enjoys it. It is set perfectly at the base of the Smokies.
